The Post Office Directory 1849 - Lists of the Inhabitants of Derbyshire.

by Dave Williams | Oct 26, 2015
During the research carried out around 2010 into the tradesmen of, and the suppliers to, High Rake Mine, at Windmill, near Great Hucklow, an database was compiled of all the inhabitants of Derbyshire who were listed in the Post Office Directory of 1849. This data has now been sorted and presented in a series of downloadable PDFs in the Resources section of the website. I hope this information may be useful to others carrying out research.
